Every year since the tradition began, the Hansen Ohana has sponsored the annual toy drive and fundraiser benefiting Friends of the Children's Justice Center of Maui (FCJC), an organization that supports abused and neglected keiki. In November 2025 the family marked the 26th consecutive year of that sponsorship — a run of support that has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars over the decades. Donna D. Hansen has been formally recognized for her years of service to FCJC: a 2022 U.S. Senate Certificate of Recognition, along with recognitions from the Maui County Mayor and the Maui Police Department's Chief of Police. Beyond FCJC, Donna serves on the Maui County Mental Health Advisory Board and a State Service Area Board — ongoing, appointed public service rather than a one-time honor.
Bob Hansen is a founding board member of Nā Hale O Maui, the nonprofit land trust that develops and stewards affordable homes for Maui families. He helped seed the organization's initial funding and designed its revolving-board governance structure — the kind of behind-the-scenes institution-building that doesn't always make headlines but has shaped how the organization runs. Clint Hansen is the founder-owner of Maui Paintball, the island's only paintball facility. The Maui Planning Commission unanimously approved the project in November 2011, and it opened in January 2013 on a 10-acre parcel in Olowalu (Maui Now, "Paintball business opens in Olowalu"). Since opening, Maui Paintball has hosted charity paintball fundraisers benefiting FCJC and other community events, and through its drives and brokerage events the family has donated thousands of pounds of food to the Maui Food Bank.
During the August 2023 Lahaina fire, Clint's drone footage — shot for Maui Real Estate Radio — was carried by national networks including NBC News Now, Fox 13 Seattle, and ABC11. While roads into the burn zone were blocked, Clint coordinated boat captains for roughly 72 consecutive hours, ferrying people and supplies. He made the footage freely available for use in films, documentaries, and school projects, and in every media appearance he directed viewers to donate to Friends of the Children's Justice Center of Maui and Maui United Way — not to the family or the brokerage.
The family's youngest members are building their own track records. Trinity Hansen is a nationally tournament-ranked junior tennis player — see her CoreTennis profile. Her sister, Victoria Hansen, age 12, is among the top USTA players in Hawaii in the 12-and-under division — and also one of the top youth baseball players in the country in her age group. Victoria was selected from a waiting list of more than 850 players for the Trailblazers Series at the Jackie Robinson Training Center (April 2026), and was selected for the inaugural GB Women's Baseball Invitational in London (summer 2026). She is coached by Elizabeth Benn, former Director of Major League Operations for the New York Mets, and Justine Siegal, the first woman to coach an MLB team.
