Mauna Lani Resort This is a special place that was a royal resort in ancient Hawaiian times. This paradise of swaying palms and lush tropical vegetation set in an exotic volcanic landscape was a place where the ali'i could rest and restore their bodies, hearts, minds and spirits. Mauna lani continues that tradition today as a full-feature pearl set on the sun-drenched Kohala Coast - renowned for its fine beaches, world-class golf, and outstanding coral reefs.
Out and about the area When heading out to explore the island, there is plenty of equipment to make your trip easier - Beach towels, umbrella, chairs, boogie boards and coolers. Just down the road are the upscale shops at the Mauna Lani with a wonderful Foodland grocery store. For a relaxed lunch or an evening out, there are a wide variety of restaurants available at the hotels, beaches, golf clubhouse and the shopping center.
Whatever your interests Whether it's testing your skill on a top-rated golf course, hiking through unusual volcanic landscapes or lush rainforests, exploring Hawaiian heritage sites, trying a stand-up paddle board, snorkelling on the nearby reef, or just hanging out at the beach - a memorable Hawaiian vacation is literally right outside your front door!
