From our third floor lanai, you look directly onto the ocean, a mere 30 feet in front of you – this isn’t ocean view or even beach view – it’s BEACHFRONT, OCEANFRONT!! Your Maui accommodations can’t get much closer to the water than at the Kanai A Nalu. You can listen to the ocean waves as you sip your morning coffee or evening beverage out on the lanai or let the rhythmic sounds of the ocean lull you to sleep at night…
Our 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom condo is just over 1,000 square feet of well furnished up-scale living (fully renovated in 2008) above a beach that provides a stunning view from your private lanai encompassing Maalaea Bay, Molokini Crater, the Island of Lanai, Kihei and Wailea. The condo is located on the third floor right on the beach within a short walk to the 56 square mile (nearly 700 acre) Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge; one of the few natural wetlands remaining in the Hawaiian Islands where you may be able to spot one of Hawaii's endangered wetland birds.
Right out front of the Kanai A Nalu is the start of one of the longest sandy walking beaches on Maui (4.5 miles from Maalaea to Sugar Beach Resort). A five minute walk away in the other direction takes you into Maalaea Harbor where you will find a small grocery store, deli, farmers’ market, fine dining restaurants, the Maui Ocean Center (rated Maui's #1 tourist attraction), the Pacific Whale Foundation, miniature golf, shopping - and probably best of all - most of the ocean activities available on Maui (sunset dinner cruises, deep sea fishing, snorkeling tours, and whale watching from November to April). Or you can hop on the local bus (for only $2) in front of The Beach Bum Restaurant and head up to Lahaina (non-stop); Kihei or Kahului (Downtown Maui).
The kitchen of our condo is well equipped for those wishing to cook and the in suite Bosch washer and dryer allows you to pack less clothing and do laundry (while you are out at the beach of course…) The Kanai A Nalu has a barbeque area close to the pool which is located in the centre of the complex. Our unit offers guests FREE long distance calls within the U.S. and Canada, the use of a 42” plasma TV, FREE High-Speed internet access and an in suite security deposit box. Hawaii’s natural trade winds keep the temperature just right – although we do have an air conditioner, just in case. The complex has an elevator and offers ample free parking. Although we are the owners, there is a local manager on site who will assist you while staying in our condo.
This is a very special place. Your vacation possibilities are limitless; you can relax on the lanai after a stimulating beach walk and swimming in the warm ocean below, or in the solar-heated fresh water pool. Enjoy magnificent views of Haleakala (“House of the Sun”), the long dormant, 10,000 foot volcano that rises majestically above Kihei. In the evening, dine on your lanai with the twinkling lights of Kihei in the distance and the brilliant stars above. Then fall asleep - in your oceanfront master bedroom - to the sound of waves lapping the sandy beach below.

Dec 15, 2012 to Apr 15, 2013 = $285 per night (high season)

Additional costs for all stays:
$125 one-time cleaning fee (straight cost recovery) $35.00 non-refundable booking fee 13.42% Hawaii State Tax - (on rental rate only)
Rates are based on up to four person occupancy, each additional guest is $10/per person/per night. Maximum occupancy is 6 persons. We require a 3 night minimum stay.

Cancellation policy:
Reservations may be cancelled up to 60 days prior to check in with a full refund (less the non-refundable $35 booking fee), including reservation/damage deposit.
